To our friends in South Africa who would like to try PayPal or sign up a PayPal account, I think you should need to know that for now, the only local bank that you can use to add funds to and withdraw money from in your PayPal account is First National Bank. The First National Bank of South Africa (FNB) provides a “top up” service that allows you to add money from your qualified FNB bank account to your PayPal account.
But before adding your bank account to PayPal, you first need to go to your First National Bank website. All the instructions are there and its pretty easy to follow too. If you get confused along the way, there is help available!
